April 11th, 2015 - G.R. Smith Enters King of the Commonwealth
G.R. Smith returned to action with the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series on Saturday night at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia).

The $20,000-to-win program drew a stout field of forty-six Super Late Models. Struggles in heat race action pinned Smith deep in a heat race where he was only able to manage a seventh place finish. As a result he would have to run a b-main, and was running in a transfer position until mechanical issues brought his night to an early end.

April 4th, 2015 - Smith Runner-Up After Fierce Battle at Screven
G.R. Smith traveled to Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) on Saturday night for a $5,000-to-win program with the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series.

A modest seventeen entries were on hand for the event, and via preliminary action Smith locked into the fifth starting spot on the grid for the 50-lap main event. Smith fell back to as far as eighth early on before charging forward to take control from race-long pacesetter, Brandon Overton on a late restart. Smith held the point until he began to battle the handle on his #22 Rocket/Clary Race Engine Super Late Model in the closing laps. Casey Roberts slid under Smith entering turn three on the final lap to grab the win. Smith settled for second while Overton, Shane Clanton, and Dennis Franklin complete the top five.
