April 29th, 2017 - Mechanical Issues End Smith's Night at Dublin
1G.R. Smith made the trip to Dublin Motor speedway (Dublin, North Carolina) on Saturday night for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series sanctioned Rattlesnake Rumble. Following the second fastest time in his group behind Chris Ferguson, Smith scored an 8-lap heat race win positioning him on the pole for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Running into mechanical issues on the second lap, G.R. Smith was forced to pull off bringing a disappointing end to his night.

April 22nd, 2017 - G.R. Smith Attends Ultimate Spring Classic at Senoia
1Back with the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series, G.R. Smith visited Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) on Saturday night for the Spring Classic. Transferring the Top 5 qualifiers from each group, Smith logged the eleventh fastest time sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place in the Top 6 to make the $4,000-to-win A-Main, G.R. edged his way with a 6th place finish. Rolling of 24th, G.R. Smith improve five spots in the 40-lapper registering a 19th place outing.

April 15th, 2017 - Smith Follows Ultimate Series to Modoc Raceway
1Behind the wheel of the Victory Circle Auto Sales #22 Super Late Model, G.R. Smith was one 20 Super Late Models signed in at Modoc Raceway (Modoc, South Carolina) on Saturday for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series sanctioned event. Timing in 11th fastest overall in qualifying, Smith earned the 11th-starting position for the Jack Starrette Memorial A-Main. Falling one spot short of a Top 5 finish, G.R. jumped up five spots in the 50-lapper to place 6th. (Richard Barnes photo)

April 8th, 2017 - Bad Luck for G.R. Smith at Virginia Motor Speedway
1On Saturday night G.R. Smith made the trek to Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series sanctioned program. Drawing 34 Super Late Models for the $20,000-to-win Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth, Smith registered a 6th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Running into mechanical issues before his consolation event was underway, G.R. was prevented from making it out for the B-Main.

April 1st, 2017 - Smith Places in Top 10 at Friendship Motor Speedway
1G.R. Smith invaded Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Friday night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned contest. With 32 cars signed in for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Smith logged a 8th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place in the Top 3 to make the show, G.R. slipped back to an 8th place outing.  

1On Saturday Smith stopped at Friendship Motor Speedway (Elkin, North Carolina) for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series sanctioned event. Following the fifth fastest time in a field of 17 cars, Smith suffered a flat-tire while running in 3rd on lap-31 of the A-Main sending him back to a 9th place finish.
