August 26th, 2017 - Top 5 Finish With MARS Series at Tri-City Speedway
1Jonathan Davenport made the trek to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) on Friday night competing in a field of 27 MARS DIRTcar West Series entries. After posting the fastest time overall in qualifying, Davenport cruised to a heat race win earning him the 2nd-starting position for the Russ Wallace Memorial A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Jonathan slipped back to a 5th place finish trailing Bobby Pierce, Billy Moyer, Brain Shirley, and Tim Manville across the finish line.

1The following found Davenport in action at Lawrenceburg Speedway (Lawrenceburg, Indiana) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned program. Taking the Top 4 from the heats, Jonathan edged his way into the Whiskey City 60 with a 4th place finish in his heat. August 17th, 2017 - Davenport Visits Bulls Gap for Scorcher
1Thursday night brought Jonathan Davenport to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series sanctioned contest. With 30 Super Late Models on hand for the 13th annual Scorcher, Davenport posted a 6th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 4 into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Jonathan cruised to a 8-lap consolation win positioning him 17th on the starting grid for the feature. Passing one car in the 50-lap affair, Jonathan Davenport logged a 17th place outing.

August 12th, 2017 - Top 10 Finish in North-South 100 at Florence
1Powering the Victory Circle Auto Sales #49 Super Late Model, Jonathan Davenport made the trek to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) on Thursday evening for the Lucas Oil Late Model Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned weekend. Drawing 67 entries for the North-South Shootout, Davenport passed two cars in his 10-lap heat race recording a 6th place finish. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the opening night $10,000-to-win A-Main, Jonathan came up four spots short with a 6th place outing.

1Returning on Friday for two rounds of heat races, Davenport started the night off with a Simpson Performance Products heat victory. Coming in 6th in his second heat race, Jonathan locked into the 15th-starting position for the $50,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday evening. August 6th, 2017 - Jonathan Davenport Sweeps Weekend in New Ride
1On Saturday night Jonathan Davenport made his debut behind the wheel of the G.R. Smith owned Rocket Chassis XR1 #49 Super Late Model at Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia) for the Red Frederick Memorial. With 18 cars signed in for the unsanctioned program, Davenport followed up a heat race victory with a 2nd place finish in his Dash behind Russell Erwin positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the feature. Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Jonathan led all 52 circuits en route to his first win of the season in the G.R. Smith ride and a $5,200 payday. 1Sunday night found Jonathan in action at Dog Hollow Speedway (Strongstown, Pennsylvania) for the Shawn “Sheetz” McGarvey Memorial. After arriving late and missing his heat, Davenport charged from the tail of his B-Main to place 3rd. Earning the 21st-starting position for the feature, Jonathan charged through the field and took control of the top spot by lap 21. Pulling away in the final 24 laps, Jonathan Davenport cruised to his second win in as many starts topping Kyle Hardy, Michael Lake, Alex Ferree, and Robbie Black at the finish line.
