July 21st, 2017 - Top 10 Finish With Southern Nationals at Swainsboro
1Making his first start with the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series, G.R. Smith visited Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia) on Friday night for the $5,300 top prize. Moving up one spot in his heat race, Smith landed a runner-up finish behind Donald McIntosh locking him into the 9th-starting position for the feature. July 15th, 2017 - Smith Attends Skidmore Memorial at Elkins Raceway
1Behind the wheel of the Victory Circle Auto Sales #22 Super Late Model, G.R. Smith invaded Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) on Friday night competing in a field of 13 Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Super Late Models. Bringing home a Top 5 finish in the 25-lap feature, Smith landed a 3rd place spot behind Michael Norris and Alex Ferree with Matt Lux and Ed Ferree completing the Top 5 finishers.

1Saturday night brought G.R. to Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia) for the unsanctioned Skidmore Memorial. In a field of 26 cars, Smith started the night off with a heat race win by a straightaway locking his spot into the Dash. Moving up two positions, G.R. landed a 6th place finish earning him the 6th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Working his way up to challenge for the top spot by third lap, Smith was making a pass for the lead following a caution until another car bumped him off the track. July 7th, 2017 - Podium Finish With LOLMDS at Fayetteville
1G.R. Smith made the short trip to Fayetteville Motor Speedway (Fayetteville, North Carolina) on Thursday night for the Wayne Gray Memorial. With 25 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competitors on hand, Smith secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a 10-lap heat race win. Rolling off 2nd for the feature, G.R. fell one position in the 50-lapper to place 3rd behind Chris Ferguson and Gregg Satterlee with Josh Richards and Steve Francis completing the Top 5 finishers. 1On Friday night with the 29 cars signed in at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for the 19th annual Grassy Smith Memorial, Smith secured his spot into the feature with the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat race. With $10,000 on the line, G.R. improved one spot in the 50-lap affair recording a 15th place outing.

July 2nd, 2017 - Smith Visits Tyler County for AMRA Sanctioned Weekend
1After Mother Nature ruined his plans on Friday night at Elkins Raceway (Kerens, West Virginia), G.R. Smith headed to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Saturday for the two-day America Motor Racing Association sanctioned program. Bringing home a Top 5 finish in the opening night, Smith posted a 5th place spot behind Corey Conley, Zach Dohm, Jared Hawkins, and Derek Doll.

Returning on Sunday for the Earl Hill Memorial, Smith fell short of a Top 10 finish with a 15th place outing.
