October 30th, 2017 - Brian Shirley to Drive for G.R. Smith at the Dirt Track at Charlotte
GR Smith is proud to announce that Chatham, Illinois’ racer Brian Shirley will be piloting the Team 22 Inc./ Victory Circle Auto Sales/ #22 311 Motor Speedway/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model during the upcoming weekend’s Textron Off Road World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina). The weekend’s events will mark the first time that the former Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals has driven an entry for the team.

1 Unveiling a brand new throwback wrap honoring the late Mike Duvall, Jonathan Davenport headed to Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) on Friday evening for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned weekend. With 72 Super Late Models on hand for the 37th annual Rhino Ag Dirt Track World Championship, Davenport followed up a 3rd place finish in his first heat with a heat race win. Earning the pole position for the $100,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Jonathan jumped into the lead on the drop of the green flag and held the top spot until lap 35. Hanging on to a podium finish in the remaining 65 circuits, Jonathan Davenport notched a 3rd place spot behind Josh Richards and Brandon Sheppard with Mike Marlar and Jared Hawkins completing the Top 5 finishers. October 6th, 2017 - Jonathan Davenport Tops ULTIMATE Field at 311
1 Friday night brought Jonathan Davenport to 311 Motor Speedway (Pine Hall, North Carolina) competing in a field of 20 ULTIMATE Southeast Series Super Late Models. Laying down the second fastest time in qualifying, Davenport earned the 2nd-starting position for the A-Main. Waiting till the final laps to make his move for the lead, Jonathan slipped by Ross Bailes on lap 38 and held him off in the final two circuits to capture his fourth win of the season and a $4,000 payday. Saturday’s ULTIMATE Southeast Series sanctioned program at Dublin Motor Speedway (Dublin, North Carolina) was rained out by Mother Nature.
