September 23rd, 2017 - Davenport Places 3rd in Cotton Pickin' 100 at Magnolia
1Powering the Victory Circle Auto Sales #49 Super Late Model, Jonathan Davenport made the trip to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Friday evening for the two-day Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100. Drawing 42 Super Late Models for the unsanctioned weekend, Davenport timed in third fastest in his qualifying group before charging to a 12-lap heat race victory. Earning the pole position for the $20,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Jonathan dropped two spots in the 100-lap affair posting a 3rd place finish behind Brandon Overton and Mike Marlar with Kyle Bronson and Dane Dacus completing the Top 5 finishers. September 16th, 2017 - Podium Finish in Knoxville Nationals
1On Thursday night Jonathan Davenport traveled to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) for the opening night of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Knoxville Nationals. In a field of 56 cars, Davenport followed up the fastest time in his qualifying group with a 12-lap heat race victory. Earning the 7th-starting position for the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Jonathan gained four spots in the 25-lapper to place 3rd behind Josh Richards and Jared Landers with Brandon Sheppard and Don O’Neal completing the Top 5 finishers. 1The following night after laying down the fastest time in his qualifying group, Davenport improved three spots in his heat race to place 5th. Slated to roll off 2nd in his B-Main, Jonathan elected to sit out his consolation event after he already locked his spot into the $40,000-to-win finale on Saturday.

1Earning the 2nd-starting position for the 14th annual Knoxville Nationals A-Main, Davenport suffered a flat-tire on lap 51 while running in 2nd that sent him to the tail of the field. Wheeling his way into a podium spot in the remaining 49 circuits, Jonathan Davenport reeled in an impressive 2nd place finish behind Mike Marlar with Jared Landers, Jimmy Mars, and Jimmy Owens rounding out the Top 5.

September 9th, 2017 - Jonathan Davenport Dominates World 100
1 Kicking off the 47th annual World 100 weekend, the G.R. Smith Motorsports teamed headed to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday evening with Jonathan Davenport piloting the Victory Circle Auto Sales #49 Super Late Model. With 105 Super Late Models on hand for the three-day event, Davenport started the night off with a 10-lap heat race win earning him the 2nd-starting spot for the opening night preliminary feature. After leading the first 18 circuits, Jonathan slipped up one position in the remaining 7 laps to place 2nd behind Darrell Lanigan with Jimmy Mars, Mike Marlar, and Bobby Pierce completing the Top 5 finishers.  

On Friday night Jonathan followed up the fastest time overall in qualifying with a 5th place finish in his heat race. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Davenport charged to a 12-lap consolation victory positioning him 21st on the starting grid for the A-Main. Breaking into the Top 10, Jonathan Davenport advanced 13 spots in the 25-lapper to place 8th.

1The following night rolling off on the pole of his heat, Davenport cruised to a heat race victory earning him the 3rd-starting position for the World 100. Jumping into the lead on the opening lap, Jonathan Davenport led from flag-to-flag registering his third win of the season in the G.R. Smith-owned ride. September 3rd, 2017 - Davenport Wins Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County
1After Saturday night’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) opener rained out at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio), Jonathan Davenport headed to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Sunday aboard the G.R. Smith Motorsports #49 entry. Drawing a stout field of 48 Super Late Models for the 49th annual Hillbilly 100, Davenport followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group with a 15-lap heat race victory. Rolling off 4th for the main event, Jonathan worked his way into a podium spot by lap 70 and was closing in on the leader after each lap. Overtaking race-leader Jimmy Owens on lap 83, Jonathan Davenport held off the field in the remaining 17 circuits to capture his third win of the season and a $25,000 payday.
